the architectural heritage wiki

Building a photographic resource of traditional building features that forms a wiki or visual database of the best and most beautiful architectural and vernacular styles and which can be used as a resource by local planners, builders and architects so that the buildings they develop are harmonious and blend with other buildings nearby and the surrounding landscape.

The Wiki is currently in the early stages of construction. Please contribute by adding your photographs with a description of the features illustrated, at the moment this is done by posting your photograph to the Noticeing Map from the location of the building being photographed then selecting a Historic Building marker for it from the Control Panel. That saves your contribution to the Architectural Heritage Wiki.

MAYFAIR TOWN HOUSE I must say that I am rather taken with the design and decoration of this house. The original building with a stucco finished ground floor and brick and stone upper levels is wonderfully decorated, firstly the brick is painted black which seems to happen quite a lot in Mayfair, then the modern day lighting is absolutely excellent. 10/10 MB Saturday 21st February 2026 51.4643 -0.1417
